Revasta is a restaurant operations platform operated by Make It Viral Media (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what rights you have over it. It covers this website and the Revasta platform. It does not cover the practices of restaurants that use Revasta to run their own businesses — see Restaurant customer data below.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a demo or contact us, we collect your name, email address, restaurant name and anything else you choose to add — phone number, number of locations, restaurant type, your current POS, weekly order volume and free-text notes. Only name, email and restaurant name are required.
When you become a customer, we additionally collect billing contact details, business address, and the account details of users you invite.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website we collect IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring URL, and approximate location derived from IP address.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from payment processors (Stripe, Clover), analytics providers, and business contact databases where lawfully permitted.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
3. Restaurant customer data
This section matters and is easy to misread, so it is stated plainly.
When a restaurant uses Revasta, its guests may place orders, book tables and create accounts. That guest data — names, contact details, addresses, order history — belongs to the restaurant, not to us.
- The restaurant is the data controller. It decides why and how that data is used.
- We are the data processor. We store and process it on the restaurant's instructions in order to run the platform.
If you are a restaurant guest with a question about your data, contact the restaurant directly. If you contact us, we will pass your request to them.
Restaurants using Revasta are responsible for their own privacy policy and for having a lawful basis to collect guest data. Our Data Processing Agreement is available on request.
5. International transfers
We are established in the United States and process data in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland, transferring your data to us means transferring it outside your region. Where required we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved transfer mechanism. Contact us for details.
6. How long we keep it
- Demo requests that don't become customers: 24 months from last contact
- Customer account data: duration of the contract plus 7 years for tax and legal obligations
- Billing records: 7 years
- Website analytics: 26 months
- Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record so we don't contact you again
- Restaurant guest data: retained according to the restaurant's own instructions and deleted on request or on account termination, subject to our DPA
7. Your rights
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), to limit use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Everyone can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.
To exercise any right, email privacy@makeitviralmedia.com. We will respond within 30 days (45 for CCPA requests, extendable where permitted). We may need to verify your identity first.
9. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, tenant-level data isolation, audit logging of sensitive administrative actions, and regular security review.
No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law. Report a suspected vulnerability or unauthorized access to info@revasta.com.
10. Children
Revasta is a business platform not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email or prominent notice on the site at least 30 days before taking effect. The “last updated” date always reflects the current version.
